1 point for every CM over the DAFF minimum size, plus Base Points. Minimum size of 40cm applied for submissions.
1 multiplier per species. eg 3 species of 10 points each = (10 + 10 + 10) x 3 = 90 Total

Release species
Maximum 2 species for points with a minimum size of 40cm for any species.

The following species are accepted. They should be legal size but proof is only needed when it is borderline.

– Red Stumpnose / Miss lucy
– Red Steenbras
– White Steenbras
– Spotted Grunter
– Black Musselcracker
– Garrick
– Dageraad

Kob
50 points for release of any kob that is legal size. Take special note of the DAFF size and bag limits for kob according to region
Maximum 45 points dead

Tuna Species
Any two of the following tuna species may be entered: Yellowfin, Longfin, Skipjack, Slender
Take note of the minimum size for Yellowfin Tuna which is 3.2kg that converts to approximately 55cm

Additional Species
You can submit up to 10 additional edible species for 10 points each if dead, or 20 points each if release.
The minimum size is 40cm if the DAFF size is less. This is to avoid tiny baitfish.

Beach cleanup
2 beach cleanups per year for 5 points each, no multiplier.

Submission
Measurement must be by tape measure.
Video evidence must be provided with the following information in order to qualify:
a. Your Name and Surname 
b. Fish Species name
c. Fork Length Measurement. Fish to be measured from the tip of the jaw to the center of the fork in the tail in centimeters.
d. Video to indicate start of the tape measure and track the tape measure down the fish to the fork or tip of the tail then zoom out for the entire fish including the tape measure.
e. Tape measure must not be slack
f. Your video submissions must be submitted within 1 week of you catching the fish!

Release species must be recorded and measured to prove legal size, ask a friend to help if needed. Must also be from the kayak, and you should identify the species, as we do for measured fish above. Release species caught (intentionally or unintentionally) in closed seasons (elf and red steenbras) will not be eligible for points. Please see DAFF fishing regulations regarding closed seasons.
